A product people arrive suspicious of.
Forma scores a face out of 100, breaks it down feature by feature and hands back a plan to improve. The problem is the category. Face rating apps have a reputation for being either vanity toys or outright scams, so a cold visitor lands on the page already deciding not to trust it. Nothing about the offer works until that suspicion is dealt with.
There was a second problem. Forma sells two different things: a subscription app on iOS and Android, and a single web scan for anyone who wants an answer right now without installing anything. Most sites in this position split their attention, hedge both offers and convert neither.
So the site had one job. Make the analysis feel like measurement rather than judgment, and give two very different buyers a clear route without either path getting in the way of the other.
Evidence first, hype nowhere.
We led with proof instead of promises. The hero shows the actual analysis output, scores against named features, so a visitor sees what they are buying before they read a word of copy. Directly underneath it sits a strip of published research, each claim attributed to its source, which does the credibility work that adjectives cannot.
- Hero built around real analysis output: jawline, symmetry, skin, harmony and profile, each scored
- Research strip citing Hamermesh, Willis and Todorov and the halo effect studies, with sources named on the page
- Two clear purchase routes from one page: App Store and Google Play badges, plus a one time web scan
- Web scan product that takes payment before showing results, then returns the full score, breakdown and plan
- Feature sections covering analysis, precision scoring, progress tracking and the in app coach
- Full technical SEO: JSON-LD for Organization, WebSite, SoftwareApplication and FAQ, plus sitemap and robots
- Analytics and ad tracking behind a consent gate, so nothing fires before the visitor agrees
- Static, dependency free build so the page loads in under a second and there is no framework to break
We did the product design, the app, the API, the copy, the marketing site and the launch. It ships on the App Store and Google Play, with the web scan running as a separate paid product.
Shipped on both stores, with two ways to buy.
Forma is live and downloadable on iOS and Android, and the web scan gives anyone who does not want an app a paid result in seconds. The marketing site loads in under a second and carries full structured data, so the FAQ content is eligible to surface directly in Google.
Live on iOS and Android
Shipped to both the App Store and Google Play, with the web scan as a third route in.
Results in about ten seconds
Over fifty facial data points analysed and returned as a score out of 100 while the user waits.
Every claim sourced
The research on the page is attributed to published studies, not invented statistics.
These three are our own products, not client work. We build them with the same process we sell: one clear message, a page that loads instantly and a route to purchase that does not make anyone think. Building and running our own apps is also how we stay honest about what actually converts.Wellington Web Co. Studio, in house build
Selling something people are sceptical of?
Trust is a design problem before it is a copy problem. If your site is not getting past the first objection, we can fix that.
